Terms and Conditions
1. Banbridge Toy Library (BTL) is a not-for-profit organisation run by a very small team of volunteers. All profits go directly back into funding the library and other community projects in Banbridge. BTL reserves the right to amend and update its Policies, Terms and Conditions at any time. All items listed for lending remain the property of BTL and must not be sold or rehired.
2. Parents/carers are responsible for supervising children when using toys from the library. It is your responsibility to ensure that the toys you borrow are suitable/age appropriate for your child. BTL is not responsible for any loss, injury or damage caused by or arising from any use or misuse of any toys borrowed from BTL.
3. As a condition of membership, members commit to being able to collect and return toys to BTL on the designated collection/ return day(s) at the designated time(s). Please contact us if you are having difficulty returning your toys and we will always try to help if we can.
4. If you notice any broken toys or missing parts please let us know as soon as possible. If any toys are lost or broken whilst in your care, please let us know. We expect general wear and tear from the toys and understand that sometimes things will go missing. We will make a note on your borrowing log of any lost or broken items. In cases where toys are repeatedly lost or broken, we reserve the right to terminate your membership.
5. BTL check items on their return for damage and clean the toys or quarantine them for 72 hours at the least if they cannot be reasonably cleaned due to materials etc. If your child suffers from an allergy, BTL cannot be responsible for cross contamination of an allergen present on the toy and it is the borrower’s responsibility to do what extra cleaning is required.
6. We will use your contact information for our use only and it will not be shared with anyone else. All personal details will be destroyed on request if you wish to end your membership.
